What We Stand For
We aim to ensure the continued protection and enhancement of civil liberties under the Malaysian constitution.
The Constitution guarantees basic civil liberties for our citizens. It is important that we make our citizens aware of them and empower them to ensure they are not abused in any way by those in real or presumed Authority.
We must also be vigilant to ensure that such civil liberties accorded to all our citizens irrespective of their race, religion or station in life are not rolled back by vested interests. The Constitution is also a live document.
We must advocate for such civil liberties to be enhanced in-line with the evolution of humanist and progressive
A great Nation protects its most vulnerable citizens. These communities such as our Orang Asli and other natives, the trans community has long been abused and misused.
We need to educate our general public about them and their issues and get Malaysians to be involved in providing protection from all these abuses.
We hope our efforts will help enhance their quality of life, protect their rights from being abused by those with power and authority, and ensure their access to livelihood and opportunities to lead a decent life is available free of obstructions.
Basic science literacy and its progress propels technology. “Scientific” discoveries are engines of technological progress, which in turn gave Nations the distinct advantage for its commerce and hence economic prosperity.
We believe advocacy that produces a science-centric education system and environment will result in a progressive society with students who are strong critical thinkers regardless of their final chosen vocations.
MAJU believes in the equality and unity of Malaysians. We want to create and follow through initiatives that will concertedly bring together our citizenry, especially our youth, of different ethnicities and religious backgrounds, that would be a catalyst for a progressive Malaysian society.
